
Amazon.com has announced the launched of its digital video downloading service Unbox.
Customers will be able to download TV shows for just $1.99 an episode, movies will be priced around the $15 dollars mark (movies can also be rented out for $3.99.
Unbox is supposedly the only video download service to currently offer DVD-quality downloads, the service has thousands of DVD-quality videos from over 30 movie and TV studios,
Customers can visit www.unbox.com and try the download service with a free TV show.
The service provides Films from six Major studios, including 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros and TV shows from networks such as CBS, Fox, Nickelodeon, MTV and Comedy Central.
The service is only open to Windows users only Mac OS users can not shop at Unbox. At the moment the service only works on Microsoft's Windows XP.
Apple Computers are expected to give similar announcement next week regarding their own new download service.
