Free broadband on the way

The Carphone warehouse is expected to announce the launch of a free broadband service later this week that could lead to a big shake-up among the internet providers.

The company will provide a free broadband service to customers who sign up for their Talk Talk landline service.

The news comes after BSkyB confirmed last week that it is to start offering broadband connections from this autumn.

The Carphone Warehouses move into the market could well start a price war and we could see BSkyB offer a similar service when it launches.

We could then see companies which currently dominate the broadband market e.g BT, AOL, Wanadoo and NTL follow suit.
