Nintendo has announced the price of its next generation video games console Wii, will not exceed $250.
With the exact release date and price of the Wii console still unknown, some game developers may have let slip a rough release date. The Ant Bully, due for release at the end of July 2006 on other platforms, has been given a November 2006 release date by the games developers. Although release dates of games can change quite dramatically, it's hopefully a good clue to a rough release date of what looks to be a games console focused on the fun side of gaming.
With the Nintendo Wii specification looking rather poor compared to the likes of Microsoft's Xbox 360 and the eagerly awaited Sony Playstation 3, Nintendo seem to focus on a different side of gaming. Not only does the new console look fantastic, it's approximately the size of three stacked DVD's it comes with its crazy Wii remote. The Wii remote is wireless and motion-sensitive remote that offers a complete new approach to gaming and how we all play. Personally I can't wait for the release of this console, purely for the Wii remote.
Fingers crossed it wont be to long.
