Xbox 360 demand expected to exceed supply

Microsoft admitted earlier that they demand for Xbox 360 consoles will far outstrip supply for Christmas.

Microsoft are manufacturing the gaming machines as fast as they can but do not expect to be able to fulfil all orders from retailers.

Online retail giants Amazon have already announced to customers that any orders placed on or after 2nd November will not arrive until 2006 and even those who placed orders months ago cannot be guaranteed delivery in time for Christmas let alone the release date of December 2nd. Amazon did promise that customers who don't get the consoles before Xmas will recieve a 10 GBP gift voucher.

Perhaps the only guaranteed route to getting possibly the must-have gadget this Christmas is on eBay where consoles are already selling for $1000.

Will there really be such a shortage this Christmas or is it all hype in an attempt to make the console from Microsoft the most sought after gadget this Xmas?

Let us know what you think on the comments form below. Expect a full review of the Xbox 360 as soon as we receive our console (hopefully on 2nd December!)
